2. Dometic Gas Stove
The manufacturer Dometic has launched a voluntary product recall for some liquid gas hobs.
The reason for this voluntary recall is a notification from one of Dometic’s suppliers about a potential leak in the regulators and/or gas pipes installed in these stoves.
A gas leak at the control knob and/or pipes could lead to a flame forming in the area of the knob and, in the worst case, an explosion of the air-gas mixture, which could cause severe injuries to the user or bystanders.
However, no incidents involving injuries have been reported so far.

How to quickly check if your gas stove is affected:
1. First of all, please check whether you purchased the gas stove from us before October 2020.
If so, your gas stove is not affected and no action is required.
If you purchased the gas hob from us in October 2020 or later, you must check the type plate on the gas hob. If you do not know the exact date of purchase, you must also check the type plate of the gas hob.
2. The rating plate should have been supplied with the operating instructions for the gas hob.
If not, you will find the rating plate on the underside of the gas hob.
On the type plate you will find
1. item no. (96000...)
2. serial number (17 digits)
3. manufacturer (Emsdetten)
4. designation code (51DL4986)
Only if all 4 criteria (article number, serial number range, manufacturer and
designation code) apply, your gas stove may be affected!
Example of a type plate with SKU attached to the underside of a gas hob:
Below you will find sample photos of the affected gas stoves:
If your gas stove meets all 4 criteria together, but is already marked “Recall OK” (Recall OK) 2021 or 2022 next to the type plate, then your gas stove is not affected by the action and you do not need to do anything else. It can be reinstalled in the kitchen work area.
If you were able to view the type plate and it is not marked “Recall OK”, your gas stove is affected by this action.
Please enter the Dometic SKU, the first 3 and the last 5 digits of the serial number (SN) in the fields of the configurator below. You will then automatically find out whether your gas stove is affected or not:
